Celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary at the historic Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, Florida.  Kate was as gracious as ever and gave me a ‘pass’ as I was also taking a few notes as The Columbia, with its 100+ years of colorful history, has a ‘non-speaking role’ in my latest novel, The New Illuminati, which has several scenes set in Tampa, Florida.  The restaurant is also featured in the sequel, 600 Meters, currently being churned out of the typewriter.  I don’t have a release date for The New Illuminati, but the early reviews have been outstanding!  Stay tuned!

His historical short story, “Forever Beneath the Celtic Sea,” which details the sinking of the passenger liner Lusitania, was runner-up in the Southeast Regional Arts Council Awards. His novella, The Cats of Savone was the recipient of an International PEN Award. He holds a master’s degree in education, and currently works as an adjunct professor of writing and resides in Tampa, Florida. Most of his days are spent writing from the cockpit of his sailboat, Pegasus, somewhere off the Nature Coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico.
