Nazi Flag Recovered From German Warship

“I recently met with a reader who showed me this authentic piece of war memorabilia.  The flag (a replica of which appears on the cover of How Angels Die) was located aboard a German warship captured by the United States Navy.  This proud veteran (name withheld to protect his privacy) served with distinction in the European theater in WWII and continues to demonstrate love of country and family.  I remain extremely fortunate and blessed to have had time to discuss the history of the flag and his service.  He is indeed, a part of Tom Brokaw’s Greatest Generation.”
